Why is it important?
- The burst reception feature of DVB-H allows the chip to be switched off most of the time.
- The Abilis DSP was built from scratch with low power objectives in mind. As a result, we are 4x smaller than industry-standard DSPs with the same processing power.
- By analyzing the instructions at microcode level, we have tuned them to make sure that any main function required by the OFDM processing will be executed in one cycle. But since memory access also makes a significant contribution to the power budget, you must be very careful when you move on to the next instruction.
